Tiger Woods latest: Tiger Woods and the police are reported to have met three days after his November 27th car accident in order to get his ticket.  This contradicts the account that Tiger Woods was involved in a violent altercation with his wife that left him with facial lacerations, a broken cheek bone, and missing teeth.

Furman Bisher, a world renowned sports caster published a letter he got from who he believes is a “credible” sports journalist that claims that Tiger was swept away to Arizona to have cosmetic surgery.  Of course, the Woods camp isn’t going to want to let this get out if it is true, and it’s highly unlikely that the true story will ever surface unless Tiger himself wants it told.  Being that he’s a very private individual, that is unlikely.

Although the accounts given by Furman Bisher make a lot of sense, there are many holes in the account, such as indication that Tiger’s neighbors didn’t note extensive injuries in their reports.

It’s also rumored that Tiger Woods and Rachel Uchitel remain in close contact even after the scandal broke. Some reporters even say that sources have indicated that Tiger and Rachel were seen together at a party in Palm Beach around Christmas.  It’s well known that Rachel Uchitel has been in Florida for the last few weeks, and there’s a lot of speculation that she’s there to see Woods.

Gloria Allred, Rachel Uchitel’s attorney, told gossip site Radar Online that Rachel has had no contact with Tiger Woods.  Her exact words were that her client has “had absolutely no contact with Tiger Woods for quite some time, and has not seen him or had any communication with him since she has been in Palm Beach.”

Casey Anthony update: Casey Anthony could face the death penalty if convicted of first degree murder of her daughter Caylee Anthony.  There are a lot of issues in the Casey Anthony case that are very peculiar, and those following the story of Casey and Caylee are anxiously waiting for the trial, which will take place sometime in 2010.

Casey Anthony was Caylee’s mother.  When the young girl disappeared, it was about a month before Casey alerted authorities that her daughter was missing.  During the time the baby girl was missing, her mother was seen partying it up and didn’t seem all that concerned with what is going on.

It wasn’t until about this time last year that the remains of a young girl were found near Casey Anthony’s parents home.  It was then revealed that the remains were that of Caylee.

Casey has been charged with 10 counts of fraud in addition to being charged with the first degree murder of her child. It is said that she wrapped the baby’s nose and mouth with duct tape and then left her in a swampy area to decay.  These indications are very disturbing, to say the least.

Recently, Casey Anthony’s defense tried to get the possibility of a death penalty thrown out. However, the motion was denied and the death penalty remains in play.

Florida has only put two women to death.  One woman was charged with killing a business man and was implicated in the disappearance of other men. Another woman is also known as the “Black Widow” and was charged with killing her husband in cold blood.  She also received a life sentence for drowning her son.

There is one other woman on death row, and she is charged with burying a couple alive. Whether or not Casey will receive the death penalty has yet to be seen.

Casey hasn’t seen her parents in over a year.  She’s all alone in jail.  Her trial is said to begin in the summer of 2010, although it’s going to be interesting to see where the trial will take place.  Those in the Florida area where the crime happened are very familiar with the case.  Then again, so is everyone in the country.

No matter the outcome of the trial, nothing will bring Caylee Anthony back to life.  The little girl that dazzled the world singing “You are my Sunshine” will remain nothing more than a memory.

Google Nexus One: Google’s highly anticipated cell phone will allegedly be sold to the general public for $530 unlocked, or $180 with a two year plan.  The subsidized phone is only available through T-Mobile so customers using other cell phone providers will have to pay the full $530.  There is some indication that the phone which is manufactured by HTC will only work with GSM networks, meaning that Sprint and Verizon customers may not be able to use the phone.

According to Information Week, “Specs reported for the Nexus One mention Wi-Fi connectivity, a 5- or 6-megapixel camera, and a 3.7-inch AMOLED touchscreen. Broadcom’s BCM4329 chip, also said to be included in the Nexus One, is capable of providing 802.11n, Bluetooth, and FM technologies.”

There is some word that the Nexus One will represent a unification of the Android phones.  Developers have had difficulties coming up with applications for the Android, as the differences in the phones made developing aps cumbersome. They have since returned to iPhone work.

The FCC is also said to be very pleased with the Google Nexus One, as it will show a diversion of exclusive deals between phone providers and phone companies. For instance, you can only get the iPhone on the AT&T Network and you can only get the BlackBerry Storm on the Verizon network.

Those pumped about the Google Nexus One will have to fork over $530 or they will have to sign a contract with T-Mobile. There will be hefty fees for early contract termination.

Tiger Woods update and latest: Rachel Uchitel opened up today.  It’s also Tiger Woods’ birthday, which makes it a prime day for updates.  For the first time since being spotted in Palm Beach, Florida Rachel Uchitel has opened up to reporters.

If you want to know all the juicy details of the alleged affair and find out where Tiger really is, don’t count your chickens before they hatch! Rachel Uchitel, in a very Gloria Allred-ish move told reporters that she had “no comment” about their inquiries.

Frustrating, isn’t it? But remember, Uchitel is said to have received hush money from Woods, and that means she can’t really say too awful much.

Today is Tiger Woods’ 34th birthday. There are many rumors about where he may be spending the day, including a rehab facility in Arizona, recuperating from cosmetic surgery, or at a house near another world renowned golfer.

The Tiger Woods scandal all started shortly after The National Enquirer broke a story about Tiger Woods allegedly sleeping with New York VIP hostess Rachel Uchitel.  After that, a bizarre single vehicle accident took place on the day after Thanksgiving, prompting rumors that Elin Nordegren found out about the alleged affair and went berserk.

Tiger hasn’t been seen in public in about a month, and there’s no word of where he is. He’s taken an “indefinite leave” from golf and has even lost some of his sponsors.

A 5.8 earthquake was reported in northern Baja California along the U.S.-Mexico border region on Wednesday.

The earthquake caused buildings to sway more than 100 miles away in San Diego and southwestern Arizona, according to the Associated Press.

The main quake was centered about 20 miles southeast of the Mexican border city of Mexicali, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.  It was reportedly followed by a 4.9 quake and several aftershocks.

There have not yet been any reports of injuries, death, or structural damage.

Anyone staying home this New Year’s Eve will have plenty of options on TV to help count down to the New Year 2010.

“Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2010” will air on ABC at 10 p.m. (ET).  Clark has traditionally hosted this televised event from New York City’s (NYC) Times Square, but now makes brief appearances due to his health.  Seacrest has taken on the role as host the past few years, and this year will be joined by Melissa Rycroft (of “The Bachelor” and “Dancing with the Stars” fame).  Fergie, of the Black Eyed Peas, will also host from Las Vegas.  Performances include the Black Eyed Peas, Jennifer Lopez, Daughtry, Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber, and Robin Thicke.

“New Year’s Eve with Carson Daly” will air on NBC at 10 p.m. (ET).  Daly will host the event with Natalie Morales from Times Square, with musical guests Jay-Z, Rihanna, and Green Day.

“Billboard’s New Year’s Eve Live” will air on FOX, with host Carmen Electra.  Musical performances include “American Idol” stars Kris Allen and Allison Iraheta, as well as Sean Kingston.  Also featured will be the best moments of the Billboard Music Awards and countdown of 2009’s top five in music, movies, and television.

TV specials on cable include “MTV News Presents: Top 9 of ’09” with Snooki of “Jersey Shore” and “New Year’s Eve Live With Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin” on CNN.

New Year’s Eve will mark the last hoorah at New York City’s (NYC) famed Tavern On The Green restaurant.

Located in Central Park West, Tavern On The Green has been a NYC staple of high class and sophistication, but unfortunately has been hit by the poor economy.  The current owners filed for bankruptcy, and items from the iconic eatery will be auctioned off at Guernsey’s Auction House in New York on January 13 and 14, 2010.

Patrons who attend the New Year’s Eve festivities at Tavern On The Green to welcome in the New Year 2010 will enjoy a gourmet buffet dinner, champagne, open bar, music, and Central Park’s fireworks display.  They will also be able to say, “I was there for the final affair at Tavern On The Green,” reported a New Year’s Eve web site.
