A small plane which fit the description of Piper PA 34 Seneca had a tough time staying on course given the terrible snow weather. Its pilot soon resorted to the mayday call reporting his plane to be low on gasoline before it crashed in West Virginia. Everybody on board was killed.

A prison secretary named Janine Sligar from Wray, Colorado had improper relations with a prisoner in the federal prison that she was supposed to be supervising. She got caught and she was prosecuted. Now she has been sentenced to 6 months to the federal prison for this offense. And it does not end once her time is up. She will serve five years of probation after that and will have to register herself with the police where ever she lives.

Michael Steele has been elected as the chairman of the Republican National Committee today, a position he had been trying for very hard & for very long time. He had been lobbying like a crazy and I used to see him on Fox giving his sales pitch. He had the likes of Hannity supporting him, so you know where Michael Steele is coming from.

Michael is the first African American to hold the position and prior to this, he was the chairman of GOPAC. Michael has also worked as a partner at the law firm of Dewey & LeBoeuf. But that’s not all. Mr Steele has also served as the Lt Gov of the state of Maryland. The governor at that time was Robert Ehrlich.

Michael has many first next to his name. He has been the first African American RNC chief, the first African American to server in a state wide office in Md. He was also the highest ranking African American to serve in RNC for a long time.

Ervin Antonio Lupoe was laid off from his technician job at the hospital and that led him to drastic steps. He took the life of his family, including wife Ana Lupoe and kids, and himself because he felt he could not support them anymore.

This is so third world. I am not sure if Ervin was depressed but losing a job meant so much to him. Whether he thought he could not get another job and hence could not keep his family together or was the process so demeaning that he felt he had no worth.

Anyway you think about, each option makes you cringe.

Rush Limbaugh

Democrats have finally launched a petition against Rush Limbaugh. I don’t see what the beef is with Limbaugh. The more time you spend fighting him, the more you serve his purpose. Ignore him and you take his oxygen away.

Fight Rush is like fighting with a pig in a smelly marshy bog. You get all dirty but the pig is having a whale of a time.
