Former child actor Tahj Mowry has recently been getting lots of attention online, but this time for his singing voice.
Mowry, now 24, who guest-starred on “Full House” and starred on “Smart Guy” in the 1990s and is the brother of twin actresses Tia and Tamera Mowry, has popped up on YouTube singing covers of classic songs. Mowry has posted the videos of himself singing songs such as Michael Jackson’s “Human Nature,” in which he sounds very much like the late King of Pop (fans have raved about it on his message boards, and I must agree it is pretty good.)
(Watch video of Tahj Mowry singing “Human Nature” below.)
In his YouTube videos, which he has titled “The Tahj Mowry Channel,” Mowry tells fans to let them know what else they would like to hear.Â
Here is his message to fans from the “Human Nature” video on YouTube:
Me singing one of my favorite Michael Jackson songs, “Human Nature.” Hope you guys enjoy it. Love…

Among the sea of Stormtroopers and die-hard comic fans, celebrities also come out to celebrate Comic-Con in San Diego (and perhaps promote their movie, TV show, etc., of course!)
Comic-Con 2010 is under way in San Diego, and runs through the weekend. For more about the event, click here.
Some of the celebrities spotted so far have included Angelina Jolie, Liev Schreiber, Bruce Willis, Sylvester Stallone, Helen Mirren, Tina Fey, Will Ferrell, Jeff Bridges, Olivia Wilde, Seth Rogen, Jerry O’Connell, and Seth Green, according to reports and photos.
Stars of some popular TV shows, mostly those of a science fiction nature, will be on-hand. The cast of CBS’s “The Big Bang Theory,” which highlights the lives of four comic-loving, nerdy, but loveable guys (at least in my opinion) will be back (Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar, and Kaley Cuoco). The cast of HBO’s “True Blood” will also appear, as well as the the creators of the children’s pop-culture show, “Yo Gabba Gabba.”
Members of the cast of the upcoming movie Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (opens August 13) will help kick off the 22nd annual Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards on Friday night at Comic-Con. Cast members scheduled to appear include Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Satya Bhabha, Alison Pill, Anna Kendrick, Aubrey Plaza, Brandon Routh, Jason Schwartzman, Johnny Simmons, Mark Webber, Mae Whitman, and Ellen Wong.

So far, so good for Erin Andrews, Dancing With the Stars celebrity. She’s had solid performances in back-to-back weeks, and she’ll happily admit that much of her success is because of her partner, Maks Chmerkovskiy.
Even if you’re not a huge DWTS fan, you’ve probably seen them together. Just one thing: they’re not dating. Apparently, Andrews gets that all the time. She was on ESPN Radio yesterday and addressed reports that the two were an item.
“No, everybody is obsessed with this… We are just dancing. We spend twenty-four hours with these people and it is just like, ‘Oh they are dating.’ I mean whatever.”
Andrews’ dating habits have always been a hot topic among bloggers, but when you see photos of her and Chmerkovskiy at, say, a Maryland-Duke game, people will talk.
Via Sports Radio Interviews:
On being at the Maryland vs. Duke game and her having goo-goo eyes for Maks:
“Oh yeah. The dude is a freak. He is totally hot. I mean I told the producers that I wanted to be with him because, a) He is from the Ukraine so he cracks the whip when I try to go all ADD on him, but he is totally good looking so I mean I have to but it is hard. I think I told you guys last week, you have got to be all up on this guy and be romantic and stuff and I just laugh like a fifteen-year old. …”
But THEY’RE NOT DATING. Got it.

She’s always been a bit left of center, but now soul singer Erykah Badu has touched a nerve in her hometown of Dallas with a controversial new music video, which alludes to the JFK assassination and shows her completely in the buff. She shot the Window Seat video at the site of the Kennedy assassination, Dealey Plaza, and in it she strips down and is then shot and instantly killed at the historic site. “It’s in poor taste and poor judgment, in my opinion,” one resident told The Dallas Morning News. Badu says the video is “about liberating yourself.”
What is your opinion about her Window Seat video? Do you think it’s disrespectful or do you think it is truly artistic?
In the uncut video, Badu gets out of a Taxi and walks down the streets while undressing. She strips down to nothing and then dies in the street where President John F Kennedy was killed.
The song has a good beat, but what is the message? If you have any ideas let me know by posting a comment below.

Detectives found large quantities of general anesthetic and dozens of tubes of skin-whitening creams in Michael Jackson’s home after the singer’s death, search warrants unsealed Friday show.
Investigators went to Jackson’s rented mansion June 29 following a lengthy interview with his personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, who told them he had placed a medical bag in a cupboard in a closet.
At the home, detectives found 11 containers of the powerful anesthetic propofol, some of them empty, as well as a range of sedatives and various medical items including a box of blood pressure cuffs, according to the warrants, which were redacted and unsealed after The Associated Press filed a legal motion.
Jackson’s June 25 death at age 50 was ruled a homicide caused by an overdose of propofol and other sedatives. Murray has pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter.
During their search, detectives found 19 tubes of hydroquinone and 18 tubes of Benoquin, both of which are commonly used in the treatment of a skin condition Jackson had called vitiligo. The disease creates patches of de-pigmented skin, and creams can be used to lighten skin that has retained its color to give a more even appearance.
Some people with vitiligo get to the point where there is so much of them that is pale, it makes more sense to remove the bits that are brown,” said Dr. David Sawcer, assistant professor of clinical dermatology at the University of Southern California.
Benoquin is derived from hydroquinone. Though the creams can be used at the same time, it is unusual to do so, Sawcer said. The medications typically come in travel-toothpaste-sized tubes and each treatment usually lasts a few months. Side effects include acute sensitivity to the sun.
“In the places they have no pigment, they are exactly like an albino,” Sawcer said.
The discovery of medical creams in Jackson’s home dovetails with an odd remark Murray reportedly made soon after Jackson’s death.
The skin cream was not listed as a factor in Jackson’s death nor was it detected in a toxicology report. What killed Jackson, according to the autopsy report, was an overdose of propofol, an anesthetic normally used for surgery. Murray told police he gave it to Jackson to help him sleep, a use anesthesiology experts have said is grossly improper.

Demi Moore does not think the word “pimpin” is cool, despite Jay-Z singing about it, and Kim Kardashian found out by being called out on Twitter.
Sunday night Kim tweeted a photo of herself and three celebrity friends (seen below) at a Miami party with the message, “Big pimpin w Love u girls!”
Demi responded, “Are you using the word “pimpin” as in pimping?”, to which Kardashian replied: “Doesn’t everyone? LOL… Nothing wrong with dancing to Big Pimpin’ by Jay Z in the club! Having a girls night out, gotta love that song!”
Not so fast! Demi, who campaigns against child slavery with husband Ashton Kutcher, wrote, “A pimp is nothing more than a slave owner!.. if we want to end slavery we need to stop glorifying the “pimp” culture.. I was just making a point about how we have used a word and desensitized the real meaning.”
An hour later she wrote, “Clearly I stirred up a s**t storm.”
In the end Kim, who at first defended the word, tweeted, “Good point!I agree! It was just a song not literal.”

An outage of on Thursday was technical and not caused by outside tampering, according to owner Google Inc.
“YouTube is up again following a technical issue which has now been resolved,” a Google representative said in a written statement. “We know how important YouTube is for people and apologize for any inconvenience the downtime may have caused.”
The outage on the popular video web site apparently lasted from about 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. (ET). Internet users were reportedly able to access individual videos, but the main page had an error message.
A YouTube source said the outage was not the result of any kind of attack or related in any way to Google’s recent move to stop censoring results in China, according to a CNN report. Since it came just a few days after Google’s announcement about the censoring, the outage prompted speculation on the Internet.

Pink’s Grammy performance at the Grammy Awards show was out of this world. Pink’s Grammy performance was probably the only thing that could have outshined Lady Gaga’s Galactical getup.
Pink showed up wearing a white robe draped over her head. As she proceeded in to the rest of her performance, she dropped the rob to showcase a trapeze artist outfit that consisted of nude colored material with strategically placed white strips.
She was then hoisted above the ground, similar to the 2009 VMAs. Her performance even included getting wet through water being poured over her body as she sang.
Pink’s Grammy Performance was spectacular, and there are many who think that her artistic impression hit the nail on the head when it comes to choosing a performance that was appropriate for the show.
There are others that think her getup was a little too revealing. However, it’s important to note that she wasn’t actually showing skin – she had on skin colored fabric.
For those that have seen the performance, what were your thoughts? Did the performance hit the nail right on the head, or has the hype been overrated?
