Last-minute shoppers can still find some of the major retail stores open late on Christmas Eve.
Toys ‘R’ Us will keep some of its stores open until 10 p.m. on Christmas Eve (Thursday, December 24, 2009). To find the closing times for stores across the country, including your local Toys ‘R’ Us, click here.
Walmart is open until 8 p.m. in most areas; however, some locations will close at 6 p.m. Click here to find your local Walmart store hours.
A majority of Target stores will remain open until 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Click here to find your local Target’s store hours.
Sears, Kohl’s, Marshall’s, Kmart, and Macy’s are scheduled to close at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve. However, some locations are expected to stay open later.
Some of the major retail stores located on the U.S. East Coast are staying open later to accommodate shoppers who had a hard time getting out due to a recent snow storm.
Another idea for last-minute shoppers is to check 24-hour shops such as drug stores (Walgreen’s, CVS, Rite Aid, etc.), gas stations, and convenience stores like 7-Eleven. Some of these locations are open until 3 a.m., with some remaining open on Christmas Day.

Customers “may be currently experiencing delays receiving e-mail” but phone services and PIN-to-PIN messaging are not affected, the company announced in a statement. Â
RIM apologized for any inconvenience and said technical teams were working to resolve the problem. The cause of the problem and when it would be fixed was not yet known.
The outages began around 3 a.m. (ET) on Thursday, with Verizon, AT&T and Sprint all reporting that some BlackBerry users on their networks were affected, according to reports. Some customers had their e-mail restored around 11 a.m. (ET) on Thursday, according to reports.

Is the government doling out free golf carts this holiday season? If you heard that some where you heard it right. According to a lot of my golfing buddies, IRS has made a ruling that many golf carts which run on electricity are qualifying for the green tax credit (electric car credit).
If you are an avid golfer and you have been holding out on this one, now is the best time to make this purchase and get a lump sum credit from Uncle Sam as well.
There is a federal credit which provides on an average $4200 to $5500 for the purchase of a non polluting electricity run vehicles.
Even though it looks like a loophole, I am pretty sure the intention was to promote green vehicles that use modern technology, somehow the golf carts also got covered within the ambit of this.
To me they look like cash for golf carts instead of cash for clunkers. If you play golf and you want to get your own golf cart, I say, go for it now!
