Brittany Murphy’s autopsy report has been out for some time, but the full report that was recently released after the buzz surrounding her death died down reveals drug use information. The preliminary report released on February 4th indicated that Brittany Murphy died as a result of a combination of pneumonia, anemia, and prescription drugs.
While there was a cocktail of drugs in her system upon her death, all of the drugs had been prescribed to the actress. She did not have any illegal substances in her system at the time of her death. However, she had Propranolol, Hydroquinone, Phenazopyridine, Fluoxetine, Dextrometrophan, and Chlorpheniramine in here stomach and her urine bore methamphetamines.
Had Brittany sought medical treatment for pneumonia, medical examiners estimate that she could have avoided her untimely death.
Simon Monjack, Brittany’s controversial husband, previously indicated that Brittany was on prescriptions but adamantly denied that she had an eating disorder as was rumored to have played a role in her death.
