Krispy Kreme cheeseburgers are available at state fairs, and it’s no surprise that obesity rates in this country are at an all time high. The latest in fair fare is a Krispy Kreme Cheeseburger, which arguably surfaced on Snopes.com in 2005 as the “Luther Burger” after R&B sensation Luther Vandross who is rumored to love the recipe.
The sandwich is 2 Krispy Kreme donuts with a slab of beef, cheese and bacon in between. Â The sticky creation has over 1,000 calories and enough fat to get you through the winter. Â You can enjoy your Krispy Kreme cheeseburger with a side of chocolate covered bacon and wash it down with a large Coca-Cola – but do so while en route to the hospital because the recipe is bound to give you a heart attack.
The Wisconsin State Fair sells a reported 3,500 cheeseburgers during the first days of the fair. Many people actually eat the side of chocolate covered bacon.
Of course, sweet and salty does have a lovely combination, but I would be afraid of trying the KKC. Many people say those that try it love it, and I don’t need to fall in love with this toxic treat.
